She was prescribed steroids and anti-inflammatory medication, the condition was relieved but soon relapse after she stopped taking the medications. For this reason, it is also susceptible to various injuries, Cervical disc herniation is one of them which may due to injury, poor posture and poor lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, many studies and reports have pointed out that cervical disc herniation compressed on spinal nerve can cause pain, tingling and numbness in the neck, shoulders, arms and hands.\u00a0However, it may also cause symptoms of tingling or pain in the face, clinically known as cervicogenic facial pain.\u00a0We have a set of trigeminal nerves extending from the brainstem, this nerve fiber originates from the cranial nerve III.\u00a0Then extends to C3 of the sensory nerve that transmit pain and other feelings such as pressure, touch, temperature to the brain.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"kc-elm kc-css-684576 kc_row\"><div class=\"kc-row-container  kc-container\"><div class=\"kc-wrap-columns\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-888710 kc_col-sm-12 kc_column kc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"kc-col-container\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-385294\" style=\"height: 40px; clear: both; width:100%;\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"kc-elm kc-css-459261 kc_row\"><div class=\"kc-row-container  kc-container\"><div class=\"kc-wrap-columns\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-988774 kc_col-sm-6 kc_column kc_col-sm-6\"><div class=\"kc-col-container\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-871299 kc_shortcode kc_single_image\">\n\n        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.excelmedicalgroup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/993.jpg\" class=\"\" alt=\"\" \/>    \t    <p class=\"scapt\">Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanning scan revealed the right intervertebral foramen stenosis and slight disc herniation in the C3,4. Any type of facial sensation is associated with the trigeminal nerve, which is the cranial nerve directly from the brain.\u00a0When these trigeminal nerve disorders are found, there are different areas of facial sensations and pains.\u00a0In most cases, it feels like numbness or stinging on one side of the face.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"kc-elm kc-css-152881 kc_row\"><div class=\"kc-row-container  kc-container\"><div class=\"kc-wrap-columns\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-696063 kc_col-sm-12 kc_column kc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"kc-col-container\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-74721\" style=\"height: 40px; clear: both; width:100%;\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"kc-elm kc-css-962522 kc_row\"><div class=\"kc-row-container  kc-container\"><div class=\"kc-wrap-columns\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-476091 kc_column kc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"kc-col-container\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-184405 kc_text_block\"><\/p>\n<h4>Other possibilities for causing facial pain:<\/h4>\n<p>Trigeminal neuralgia:<\/p>\n<p>There are twelve pairs of cranial nerve. The fifth pair is called the trigeminal\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont,;\">nerve, from the brain stem extending towards the face. Since this nerve has three branches, controlling the forehead, the face and the lower jaw respectively, it is called the trigeminal nerve.\u00a0Trigeminal neuralgia is caused by the nerve being compressed by adjacent blood vessels. The feeling is very painful, described as an electric shock and knife cutting on one side, each pain can last for a few seconds to a few minutes, or it may be intermittent, with some patients having pain on both sides and in the gums.\u00a0The diagnostic method can\u00a0use magnetic resonance\u00a0imaging (MRI) scanning to review at the trigeminal nerve is compressed by the blood vessel.\u00a0If the drug is ineffective, microvascular decompression surgery can be performed by a neurosurgeon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Bell\u2019s Palsy\u00a0disease:<\/p>\n<p>Symptoms includes facial muscle imbalance, pouting, drooping at the\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont,;\">corner of the mouth, unable to laugh, eyes not able to close properly,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont,;\">water leaks from mouth when drinking, dry eyes. \u00a0The cause of Bell\u2019s Palsy is that\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont,;\">the body is to resist a certain virus, but with the immune system overreaction, it\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont,;\">causes the cranial nerve 7 to be damaged and inflamed.
